Intrinsic Foundation (IF Cares) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to assist individuals develop the essential elements to be successful throughout their stages of life.

Our mission is achieved by providing children from underserved communities, access to nutritious meals, developing transferrable career skills, and providing nutrition and financial education.

Through our network of community groups, IF Cares will feed food insecure children within the communities they live, learn and play during the Summer months.

The state of Texas hosts a $100 billion agriculture industry yet is a leader for food insecurity.  This unbalance makes our hunger situation unacceptable and troubling.  More than 17 percent of Texas households are considered food insecure, a rate significantly higher than the national average.

While few Americans are in danger of starvation these days, diseases due to inadequate nutrition are as big a threat to our prosperity as ever. Obesity costs Texas businesses $9.5 billion annually, while the economic loss from children who never reach their full potential due to inadequate nutrition may never be known.
